Night of Generosity
Around 3.6 million people a year (9,800 each and every day) die from a lack of clean water. This is a particularly pressing problem in Sub-Saharan Africa, where around almost a billion people are affected. Generosity Water is a charity that is trying to help tackle the issue by creating wells, donating water supplies and raising awareness. Last Friday the charity hosted its 4th annual “Night of Generosity Gala”, at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, which raised $175,000… enough to provide clean water to 15,000 more people. The event – hosted by Jason Kennedy of E! News and Sherri Shepherd of The View – included live performances by Caitlin Crosby, Mathai, Dez Duron, Rhea Bailey and DJ Fred Matters, as well as visual displays and a live auction. Celebrities attending included Kim Kardashian and Nathalia Ramos.
