Students help their own

A young boy who was hurt in a hit and run crash earlier this year and is still recovering, has been getting some help from his classmates. Erison Presinal from Hazleton was severely injured back in March, when he was riding his bike and was struck by a hit-and-run driver. He spent over a month in two different hospitals in the Lehigh Valley. Because of his injuries he was unable to complete sixth grade, but he is a good student, so will be moving on to seventh grade when he returns to school in a few weeks’ time. Now his generous classmates at West Hazleton Elementary School have just presented him and his family with a cheque for $200, to help pay for their travel expenses… to which Erison simply says a big “Thank you!”
He’s already out riding his bike again, and playing basketball, just like any other 12-year-old, which his mother Nancy believes is a miracle. Check out this short video about it.
